My personal experience of this company has been fantastic!
As background information I live down near Exeter so given the long journey I telephoned first in order to get their honest appraisal of the van we were interested in and spoke with Mathew; delighted to say that when I got to view the van it was exactly as he had described it, we completed the test drive and arranged to pick the van up the following week. I went by train to pick it up and the owner of the company Philip Jenkins picked me up from the rail station and left me with Mathew for the hand over. All good, I drove off and went to the local post office just around the corner from them in order to tax it and noticed the air -con was not getting cold so I drove straight back. The boss Phil Jenkins was advised of the problem and he came out with one of their own mechanics, who confirmed that none of the pipe work was even getting it cold as it should. Phil explained to me that because of the equipment required the air-conditioning service/re-gassing was some they outsourced to the local VW agent; he was fuming because the van had been into VW and he had in fact paid their invoice to cover the service/re-gas; he had the invoice in his hands and got on the phone to them right away. It was now late in the day and there simply wasn’t the time to get the vehicle back to VW so Phil asked if I had a good local garage where I lived, and as it happens we have an independent VW garage and the owner is also a qualified air-con engineer. Phil said that given the distance I had to go home, if it were OK with me he suggested that I took the vehicle back with me, and book the vehicle in with the local garage to be diagnosed and for them to provide a quotation for the works, confirming that he would settle the bill directly with them. I took the vehicle in, it was confirmed that the air con unit was indeed fully gassed and had no leaks but that the actual air compressor had failed. The work was authorised within minutes, the vehicle booked in for it to be undertaken, the job done, my local garage submitted their invoice and again this was paid within minutes. All in all I would not hesitate for a second in recommending them to anyone considering buying a second hand car/van from them . A big thank you to Mathew and of course Phil the business owner who clearly takes a lot of pride in running his business.

Faultless experience. By far the cheapest about. Van was spotless inside and out. I had a 19 plate Mercedes Sprinter. Collection and handback was a breeze. Would defiantly use again.

I booked one of the largest vans over the phone, ready for my partner to drive when we moved house on the 9th Jan. We were asked to do the DVLA check there and then to save us time on collection. We booked the vehicle to move house and it was perfect size. In the morning they asked for Proof of residence aswell as his driving licence, fortunately he was able to bring up a bank statement on his phone (However, they did not explain we needed this over the phone, and if he was unable to use my phone he would have wasted a lot of time! So bare this in mind) the excess was £1150 because he was under 25, if you’re over 25 it’s £750. He returned the van how it was given to him, with a full tank of petrol. The man greeted us in the car park and after a quick inspection we had handed the van back. Really quick, really easy, and £64 to hire the vehicle from 8am to 1pm, great prices! I would recommend to family and friends who needed to hire a van!!

I returned a car this morning and while waiting for my own car to defrost, a member of staff came out to spray de-icer on my windows. A nice touch, much appreciated.

The pre collection process was was easy to set up via email. My daughter and I were greeted by friendly staff at the reception. We then realised that a smaller van would work better. As a smaller van was available, the staff were very helpful and changed our van size easily.
100% recommend.

First time I have ever got finance, I dealt with a friendly sales guy named Matthew, who helped me through the process and was friendly, polite and helpful throughout. He kept me updated on the application and informed me of everything I needed to do and was quick to updated and respond. The vauxhall vivaro I bought is running smoothly and is in very good condition. Definitely happy with the purchase.

I hired a small car for two weeks in November/December 2019. The Nissan Micra was perfect for our needs and well equipped for a small car. The service we received was excellent. This is the third time I’ve hired a car from Wicks and on each occasion the staff have been efficient and friendly. Excellent value for money and reliability. Will definitely use them again when I return to the UK in March.

Great value, good service. Whilst, others appeared cheaper, their insurance was cheaper when looking at the excess charge. They were also were flexible on return time, as I explained I was picking up goods from Bournemouth, so could be late if there was an accident. Great service – thank you

Hired a van for moving house after a recommendation to use Wicks thought give it a shot!

Compared to there rivals there website is a little clumsy and not easiest to get information from. It does the job though and I did use it to reserve a van.

On arrival plenty of parking and is a secure site. They allow you to leave your vehicle there which is a nice touch.

Collecting the keys there was no dramas, easy and simple (I sent all details requested prior which sped up the process). I asked for information on extra protection, they were not pushy and taking it out was simple.

They then went and got the van. It was clean, tidy and was road worthy. After walk around with me they spotted couple of dents which they noted and if honest I could barely notice them. If it was one of the main dealers they wouldn’t of done that!

All in all was there about ten minutes and I was away! On my return a quick walk around all in order and away I was again no dramas!

The staff are super friendly, the process is quick and there vans are very good. Keep it local I think is the motto here. Bar the website they are miles above the competition!

Great experience at Wick Car And Van Sales buying my van. We went on Sunday to look at new vans and strolled around. The sales man wandered across and kindly asked if I’d like the key to a particular van o was looking at. He gave us the keys and absolutely didn’t bother us at all. We were all (wife and kids) climbing around the van and he just left us alone. We give him the keys when we’re done and he gave us in
some details. No pressure at all. I called then a few days later and ended up with the van the day after that. Cracking service from start to finish. I’ve been in some places and they are pests but this sales guy got it down to a T! ????

Picked up my van today and very happy with the van itself, and I looked at every inch of the underside… solid, straight and clean.
Would have given 5 stars but was slightly disappointed with the customer service from the sales team as a promise made was not delivered on with regards to an amount of fuel to be put in prior to vehicle pick up, and the sales person on collection was different to the one I made the deal with, and he didn’t seem to care. I don’t mind not getting it but it is the fact it was agreed prior is what is disappointing.
All that said, the van itself drives beautifully and is of high quality so every one of my 4 stars goes to the garage and service side for preparing the van. Thank you… issue soon rectified and clarified. Thank you… 5 stars.

Bought my van in January all good the boys were.great van went well then at the beginning of march number 4 injector went phoned them up put through to John and in the work shop told him what happened he said ok no problem get it back to. us and we will fix it van all done great service thank you all. The latest on the van is another injector number 3 this time pack up my warranty was nearly up but again I just phoned up wicks asked for John first thing he said when I told him what happened was get it back I did and van back on road 2 days later all I can say. Thank you very much and if I need a van in the future wicks will be my first stop well done
